Overview:
If you are a discerning Hobbyist that ask themselves ‘what would this look like if it weren’t designed for full-kit mass production’, then ssc offers a no-production-compromises RC experience. What makes ssc different than any other rc-aftermarket chassis offering? We believe any vehicle chassis demands the knowledge, input, physics’ understanding, eyes & experience of an Engineer. What do you purchase when you buy an Engineered Chassis kit from ssc? You buy a 30-40 degree drop in motor temperature, and the first hinged-flex mill pattern that extend Front/Rear forces into the midsection for more traction, on power steering, durability and predictability in a chassis kit that can host both stick and shorty packs.
Why isn’t this a fancy looking carbon fiber material? 6061 has a very wide elastic range that the ssc10’s milled framework is designed on (acts like a 5th shock). Carbon fiber is too rigid a material to achieve the 5th-shock by-flex performance 6061 Aluminum delivers. Are those front tube hollow? No, the front tubes are solid 6061 Aluminum. Does it allow for a mid-motor configuration? No since the essence of this Vintage 2wd R/C buggy is it’s rear motor configuration that delivers undeniable rear plant we all enjoy. Where is it made? In the U.S.A. even down to it’s Engineer, Machinists, CNCs, most tools and as much of our aluminum raw stock as possible. Ever visit Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral? Then visit Beachline Raceway and Shining Star Chassis’ production facility.
