The first SSC 2wd Short Course chassis kit to be offered combines the rear clip of the Slash 4×4 with the front clip of the Slash 2wd. After years of experiencing the rigid 2-plate v1 and v2 designs pull drag wheelies down straightaways before evolving design into independent F/R’s the result is this hybrid 2wd model. It is basically the most efficient method of utilizing a laid-down transmission configuration with the fewest gear meshes possible to spin rear axles.
The SC2R utilizes the flex-neutral shorty pack mount used on the Vintage RC10 kits to reduce weight, increase steering response and maximize chassis’ flex-performance. So from the motor mount-back the components are the same as 4wd kits’. The 2wd chassis kits require use of RPM’s universal servo mount to lay-down the steering servo beneath its’ front upper bulkhead plate.
